Pale lemon w/green hues. On the nose medium intensity petrol, lime, citrus zest, green apple, wet stone. On the palate the wine is dry with bracing acidity (high), low alcohol, medium (-) body. Flavor intensity is medium + with petrol, lime, citrus zest, green apple, wet stone. Finish is medium. The wine is good and its high acidity/structure allowed for a quite enjoyable wine 8 years out.

A: Pale lemon - watery white with green hues as they pick early to avoid grey rot N: Medium intensity, Yoghurt, cheese, LIME, lemon, green apple, salt, wet stone, P: Dry, high acidity , medium alcohol, medium (-) body, medium (+) intensity and medium (+) finish. Brandon says struck match. I just could not get there. C: Balance of acidity and fruit. Length of the finish, fine intensity make this a very good quality wine. Better examples might have more complexity, great intensity and a longer finish. Will age. Guess: I thought the wet stone and acidity put me in the old world. and the austerity and citrus made me think of Chablis . Mistakes: Misread the alcohol here. it was LOW (10.5%). That and the dominant lime component with that acidity should have brought me there.
Random Tip: If one is checking for signs of MLF, wait for 15 secs for the sour cream to evolve in your mouth according to Brandon K soon to be MS

Tasted blind. Pale lemon. Med aromas of green apple, lemon zest, white flower, wet stone, flint. Seems youthful. No oak. Dry, with high acidity, med alcohol (actually only 10.5%). Med body, intensity and finish. Nicely balanced but a bit austere and lacking in complexity IMHO. Seems like a youthful, cool-climate Old World Chardonnay, possibly Chablis or Burgundy. First time I've had a 100% Semillon made in this Hunter Valley style, with grapes picked early. Very interesting and remarkably age-worthy.

Tart citrus, key line pie. Low alcohol. Medium acidity. Pretty drinkable but nothing special.
