Super surprised in good way by this. Became more balanced after 1-2 of being open. Generous fruit and very nice eucalyptus counter balance note. Decent acidity. Can’t imagine it developing more positively but should be fine for 3-5 more years, Od think.

Tasted in double-blind fashion at Vintage Wines, Ltd. The wine was kindly provided by Ken Johnson. Opaque ruby robe with red rim. Clean nose, showing aromas of black plums, spice, vanilla and cocoa. Full-bodied on the palate, with low acidity, medium well-integrated tannins and black fruit/vanilla flavors. Despite the vanilla component, the oak does not come off as overdone. The middle palate is full and the smooth finish is medium-long. Very nice example of what I assume is mostly Napa Valley floor fruit. Drink now-12/15.

Drank this with some delicious olive oil sauce pizza. Wasn't sure how the wine was going to taste, but it surprised me and was quite approachable and good.

Full black cherry with cassis and cocoa. Smooth lingering finish. Balanced. Oak undertones. Paired with prime steak.
