Quite austere, intriguing nose with white peach , (unripe) pineapple , chalk and acacia, dashes of lemon zest and honey
Well balanced and complex on the palate with a lot of tension and grip balancing the supple body , beautiful acidity balancing the fruit, long finish with an aftertaste of citrus and bergamot
Excellent Pfalz dry Riesling at or near peak.

Peach and lemon on the nose. On the palate, white peach, yellow apple, and notes of lemon and pear on the medium finish, with moderate acidity. This was an average value at about $50.

Gaisböhl (Clairmount): Part of a vertical spanning 2003-2017. 13% abv, AP 36. NOSE: A drier level of preservation compared to 2017 and 2015. Decomposition has crystalized to fossil. Clean plumes of dry, blanched stone. Salty. Citron and maraschino cherry. Buttery, herbed pastry crust. MOUTH: silk. Diffuse, still gathering its adult expression. Quietly self-exiled in its room. Orchard flowers. Trifle. This is more about gentle, breezy texture than it is about any specific grocery list of challenging fruits and pantry flavors. 90+

Very much on the stony, yellow fruit, chalky, vertical, dry - and drinking a point, I think. Better with food, I think.
