Medium mix of garnet and ruby red. Savory nose with more of the rock district funk going one. Nice amount of minerality with some dried cherries, dirty cellar, olives, blackberries and tons of smokiness. Medium tannins (5.5/10) with a nice amount of acidity. Nice and toasty on the palate with black olives, light dark fruits, gamey notes and a little earthy. Dry and medium plus bodied. Drink till 2022.

Notes consistent with first bottle I consumed. Big rocks funk on the nose. Minerals, brine, soft fruit. A bit thin in the middle with medium tannins.

Just a solid Syrah...lovely Rocks funk, brine, roasted meat, black olive, pepper, and some blackberry fruit in there too. Yum! Drink now - 2023.
