  Outstanding with grilled steak. Well integrated red and black fruits, full mouthfeel and long finish with just enough tannins to complement the steak.

  It took about an hour for this to open up fully, but once it did, it was a lovely combination of power and finesse centered on blackberries with violets and a savory note somewhere in between gravel and tobacco. Not sorry to drink this now. but should be somewhat better in another few years.

  I’d previously enjoyed the 2007 vintage of this wine, and as expected, this didn’t disappoint. Deep purple color, full bodied. At nine years, this seems to be in the latter stages of development: fully integrated and balanced structure; intoxicating floral aromatics; red and blue fruits starting to show signs of maturity; complex notes; and a lengthy finish. Finesse and elegance are perfect descriptors. Enjoyed with beef tacos which was complementary. Drink over the next 3-5 years. Excellent.
