  Deep red color. Cherry and on the nose. Cherry, raspberry, some tobacco on the mouth. Medium-length fruit finish that ends peppery and a bit dry on tongue.
  Have served with BBQ chicken and pork.
  Starting to lose some fruit structure and getting softer. Had more definition a year or so ago.

  In the claret style, I suppose - fans of this style will probably like it a lot. Decent nose, with old world vibes; fairly dry, some acidity with ample cherry and berry flavors; seriously dry finish with lots of tannins. Needs a few hours to open and definitely needs food - went very well with a chicken tajine. Not a sipper, and can't see this with barbecue.
