Wasn't particularly impressed at first. Opened a bit over the next hour but seemed pretty generic. Interestingly, I left half the bottle and the next day it was considerably better showing a lot more fruit and a better nose.

No formal notes. From what I remember - graphite, pencil shavings, black fruit. I did not see any of the oak come through that some other reviews mentioned. Nothing special, but not bad. 89 points.

While I agree with other reviewers, that there is an obvious use of new oak in this wine.. I believe the ripe, Paso fruit can handle the chosen use of oak and produce a wine that tastes and resembles a good amount of Napa Cabs on the market today. From that perspective, this is a great value!!! After a long decant, concentrated aromas and flavors of black cherry juice, pencil shavings, graphite, and spice emerge. Similar to a young, powerful, Napa Cabernet in style. Full bodied, with soft, dusty tannins. Overall, impressive value, in respect to varietal and style. Recommended.

A nose of dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Cab with blackberry, black cherry, some cocoa and spice on finish, a good value. www.winelx.com

Oak, and more oak. Some fruit but too much oak.
