I miss being able to drink white Burgs with greater regularity... the soil, straw, and pebble elements, along with the overall balance and length, made for a lovely bottle. That being said, there was a watery hole in the middle of this wine when the palate didn't match the promise of the nose. Drunk slowly without much change so I wonder if aeration/double decanting might have been called for also. Very good but at today's prices I'll take the very very best of the rest of the World.

Very reductive on opening and smelled of burnt rubber. With some time it became more open-knit to show the roundness of Meursault and tasted like a proper old-school white Burgundy. Just had a little something missing in the mid-palate, and a nagging sense that the wine has yet to reach its full potential. Will leave my other 2014 1er crus alone for a while longer.

Our Christmas dinner white wine. It was enjoyed by all. The best descriptor for this wine is wonderful - on the nose, on the palate and had a lovely long finish.

Impeccable. Opening up now with all the meursault aromas but with a floral dimension that elevates it

Excellent Meursault
Precise, typical with an overly of citrus and flower nose
