Dinner (veal scalopini and salad with italian dressing) at Otellos in Napa for the AAUW monthly le femmes gormets. This Napa restaurant is byob and my wife's friends all brought bottles. Nancy's wine was the star with its light crisp fruit flavors.

With shrimp and scallops cooked on the grill and jasmine rice. Ripe peach, pineapple and mango flavors load this aromatic Carneros wine. Winemaker Chris Dearden used small French oak barrels to add complexity.

TWC White Wine Group enjoy an evening of summer quaffers (Jenny & Jeremy's): A superior domestic Pinot Grigio. Lovely peach and pineapple aromas that are followed onto the palate with honeysuckle and other tropical fruits. Lots of fruit but plenty of finesse.
