Caramel, nuts, flowers, honeyed fruit on the nose. Good acidity and decent overall balance on the palate, but a little heavy and almost fat at times. Medium complexity, good length. Drink or keep. 89-91

Deep yellow color, pale yellow rim. Marzipan, butter, honey, acetone, sweet, pineapple, butterscotch. Smooth and sweet, butter biscuits, oranges, pineapple, banana, good acidity. Great Sauterne, mature and drinking very well now, but some residual acidity for longer aging.

From 375, at 53 degrees since purchase in 2009. The other half bottle of this I bought I drank in 2009 and rated it 90 points. Beautiful light amber color. This is now at peak, with incredible apricot, peach, marzipan, beeswax, honeysuckle, white flowers, and botrytis deftly wrapped into an aromatic and unctuous package. The finish lasts 60+ seconds. Enjoyed with peach flambee with vanilla ice cream.
Fantastic to the last drop today, with probably 5 years of guaranteed longevity and perhaps slight evolution if stored properly. Beyond that, it may blossom further but difficult to say given not quite enough acidity. Interestingly, the tartaric acid crystals in the bottom of this bottle were mostly gray and off-brown, though this seemed to have no ill effect on the wine.

This is a good wine. Unfortunately, it had one of the worst corks I've ever had. I am finally going to buy an Ah So.

Good classic sauternes, in good shape, still young. T-day at Bri's.
