A little reduction at first that blows off to reveal oyster shell briny steely on the nose with the fruit citrus more than apple, with jasmine florals.
On the palate, it's a steely and chalky, soil and acid more than fruit driven classic Chablis. It's unadorned, chiseled, and detailed. AN AFWE wine for sure. Excellent interplay of extract and focus, but a little austere. I like that.
3 days in the refrigerator did this a lot of good.
Day 4, the last half of the bottle in the fridge recorked, this has really come into its own. Still a steely, sculpted, soil driven Chablis, but with a bit of unripe pineapple, lemon curd, a bit of nuttiness, brine, more florals, and more palate breadth. The already not that ugly duckling became a swan. A deep, focused, mouthwatering, soil driven Chablis with terrific clarity. A rock head's wine. Delicious. 93

This stuff is still terrific, and even fleshier than my bottle two years ago. It just reads Chablis out of the gate. Green apple and a salty air breeze note. Fleshes out to show some mid-palate sweetness that is surrounded by a mouth puckering salinity that lingers. It's not terribly complex, it's rather upfront juicy and edgy. Terrific liveliness/freshness that 14s seem to have.

PNP. Un vin de fruit, pas des plus complexes mais se buvant bien. Meilleur après le repas avec les fromages (comme d'habitude, les Droin ont besoin d'un peu d'air).

A solid but not exceptional wine. I didn't get as much Chablis character on this as some of the other tasters noted.
