I feared a caricatural buttery international "Chardonnay" and so was reassured when I found a quite agreeable and fresh medium bodied white with decently fresh acidity and backbone. However I had taken the precaution of cooling more than I would a white Burgundy and I felt that buttery, jammy notes started to emerge as the wine warmed up. Quite good.

Cellier Wine Fair 2017 (Hilton Athenaum Hotel): Very reductive in the nose (onion and garlic in the same time) with lime hidden underneath, slightly better in the palate but still very strange

Nice Chardonnay aromas, with tropical fruits. Intense, but rather sweet on the palate, with a bitterness in the finish. Good for the price, though.

Penfolds Masterclass at Verite Oslo (Verite Oslo): Entry level white Penfolds. Candy and tropical nose. One-dimensional and not much more than candy and tropical fruit to offer.
