100% Garnacha from 65 ha south-west oriented hillside vineyards in Campo de Borja at 500-800m with red clay/red slate soils and old clone Granacha vines 30 and 50 years old. Aged in 60% new French oak and 40% new American oak for 17 months. Unfiltered. 15.5% Abv. History: A collaboration since 2002 of US importer Jorge Ordonez', Bodegas Borsao, Australian Chris Ringland, plus other partners. Winemakers: José Luis Chueca, Miguel Sanmartin, Chris Ringland
A(ccuray)=2: Deep ruby/garnet. Robust, intense varietal. B(alance)=2: Heady ripe fruit with firm structure, bit over-oaked. C(omplexity)=2: Dark berries, chocolate, licorice, toasty oak. D(epth)=2: Lifted mouthfeel. Full, even palate and finish.

Lush and syrupy, very smooth. Don't taste the alcohol on this big, monster of fruit.
