An only bottle, well extracted dark black cherry color with a nose of sweet slightly dusty cherry and blackberry in the aroma and bouquet attributes of pencil shavings and vanilla. Immediately poured after opening with no appreciable sediment, with a silky mouthfeel, a ruby port-like flavor profile without any cloying sweetness, and the 14.1% alcohol was supportive and not intrusive as the acidity and residual tannin perfectly balanced the lovely well-developed fruit flavor throughout the three palate stages. A wonderful wine to enjoy with creamy and savory Chicken Tetrazzini. These wines, with patience given for evolution and allowance for consequent complexity, will reward one with a diversely complementary addition to all but the most brashly unidimensional and overwhelmingly seasoned food pairings.

Well, I was wrong in my 12/8/19 note when I said it wasn't likely to improve with age. Last night we tapped a couple of glasses from another bottle with a Coravin and aerator, and they were delicious with tagliatelle and ragu. Where it was thin and tart before, it is now medium-bodied, fruity and well integrated. Not the richest and most powerful Amarone out there, but a lovely expression of the type nevertheless.

Certainly not a "classic" amarone. Very thin. Pleasant nose, but nothing distinct. A bit muddled. Predominantly cherry on the palate with faint notes of raisin, possibly fig - but, again, not like the typical amarones. Finish is very short. Paired well with a smoky pepperoni and a milk chocolate with hazenlut.

A bit thin, especially for an Amarone. Took a couple of hours to open up. Not likely to get better with age.
