  • Five years later (from my first note) - much, much better. Has integrated - burnt notes there but die off quickly. Granite, blood and black fruits on the nose, bright acidity and a juicy finish - in decent spot but could still use a few years to fully settle down. Great with a beef stew.

  • This is way too young to drink - the nose has some burnt wood which dies off over time. Very primary with fruit dominating. I won't try another one for five years..

  • Popped 'N poured 2 bottles with my wine group, at a restaurant. 6 wines, 2 of each, 18 people. I'm not sure if both bottles were flawed, or this is what it is supposed to taste like. Both bottles smelled and tasted the same. The nose was "funky" but not to the point that you could say corked. And whatever it was blew off. The guy in my group who loves Syrah, really enjoyed this. The rest of us, not so much. Notes of petroleum and Anise on the nose.
