A traditional St Estèphe unlike 09 and 10.Decanted 2 hours beforehand and drunk over 3 days.A well balanced wine close to it's apogee.I thoroughly enjoyed it and was certainly the best Cos Labory I have drunk.

Medium garnet color with no signs of age yet. Earthy nose of damp leaves a hint of berry. Really nice on the palate with a combination of red fruit, leather, tobacco and coffee notes. Medium bodied with nicely integrated tannins. a really great value and I wish I had a couple of more bottles.

13.5% alcohol. Good long cork with no more than 2mm of wine penetration. Decanted an hour ahead. Dark colour with some thinning and just the onset of bricking at the edge of the rim. Lively nose combining tobacco leaves and the slight vegetal touch that befits St Estèphe. The mouth is well balanced but on the firm side, in a way that is akin to ripe Chinon. Certainly a food wine, and a good match for our grilled lamb cutlets. An archetypal St Estèphe with just the right dose of austerity; this wine will not please Pomerol worshippers.

Ikke dekantert. Rustikk, fet, men pen, også dag 2.
