  PnP. Tremendous nose! Rhubarb, dark cherries, black berries, slight alcohol tint as it’s 14.9%. Crazy that at 12 years it tastes like it’s only has 4 years of age on it. Chewy tannins, chocolate undertones, slight baking spice. I personally prefer a bit more red fruit & less chocolate but this is still good. Hoping more fruit comes through over the next hour or so! Bought for $60 on Wine Spies…probably wouldn’t spend that much again.

  This is fabulous wine. And at $59. It is a tremendous value. The tasting notes from the others tell it all.

  Some great Coombsville juice here. This particular vintage was made by Julien Fayard I believe but On Q is now made by another fantastic winemaker in maayan koschitzky. Give this big guy an hour in the decanter and watch it sing. Wonderful Aromas of currants, Cherry, blackberries, clove, nutmeg and some herbaceous spices. The palate is exceptionally smooth and still a freshness of acidity behind it. Really carries the fruit well and the finish goes on for 30 seconds to a minute. I'd drink this now or over the net 1-2 years before it starts to transition.

  Acquired this wine from the Vintners Collective wine club in Napa. Big dark, rich Napa cab. Dark purple in the glass all the way to the edge. Very nice fragrant nose with not too much alcohol given that it is a young wine. On the mid palette it is rich and unctuous with dark fruit, vanilla and loamy undertones. Only thing keeping the wine from rating higher is finish is a tad short with gritty tannins. I believe this will,resolve in a few years but alas I don't have anymore left
