  • Now at its peak, tasting of plum, pencil lead, river stones, tobacco. Drink this with a good steak (meat, tuna, portabello), lamb or bolognese. A sturdy companion to a hearty winter meal.

Day 2: better after 24 hours on the decanter, smoother & better balance with alcohol less forward behind a super silky texture. Now more cherry than plummy. Think I drank too soon after decanting last night, give it a couple of hours before consuming.

Lovely mature cab at its peak. Yummy in the tummy. Don't wait much longer to drink, there may not be much upside from here.

  • This is the real deal: unpretentious complexity, smooth, that big fruit is a bit faded - fine by me, well crafted, balanced. I have another bottle, and will save it but only until later this year

  • This was very good. Fresh cherry aromas. Sweet fruit with a smooth finish. A very elegant wine. (Note: I just discovered that I had mistakenly cataloged this wine as an "Oakville," so am correcting the entry - 5/9/20)
