  • This is one heck of a German Grauburgunder! Blind I would have been proud to guess Meursault! Rich wine, full bodied, m+ Finish, tropical fruit notes and lovely, balanced woodsmoke, all balanced by beautiful sufficient acidity on the low side but enough. I found myself longing for slightly more intensity, as this would have put it in the spectacular category, but that is a bit of nitpicking. Yeehaw, beginning to fall in love with the oak aged Grauburgundern of Germany! One of the wineworlds great values in oaked 'New World Chardonnay' ;-) (balanced by nice acidity uncommon for New World Chardonnay)
