  • Intense, concentrated and precise—consistent traits with other Miani wines I’ve had. Opened and decided not to decant; wasn’t overly tight/tannic at opening—intense berry with some structure. Tabacco/barrique came out more intensely after about 30+ minutes with somewhat bordeaux-ish style. This wine is drinkable now but should improve with more age. 16% alcohol is not overwhelming thanks to intensity of wine that is not “hot”. Quite expensive but unique its own way.

  • Very dark with purple rim, opaque.
The raspberry, jammy notes jump right out of the bottle with notes from the oak, slight smoky and cigarbox. In the month, the notes is consistent with the nose, very full body with extra minerality towards the end makes it not single dimensional. the acidity is high covering the high alcohol level. The taste is smooth and long. This is a huge wine. While it is enjoyable now, I will be looking forward to revisiting it in 5 years. Lots of potential ahead.

  • Enzo Pontoni's Masterpiece! A full bodied wine with high tannin's that might be a tad astringent, however is well balanced, elegant and expressionate with a very long lasting and pleasant finish lasting over a minute.
Fruit forward bouquet/aromas of fig, currants, cherry, raspberry, plums, blackberry, cedar, vanilla, cream, dark chocolate, and leather. You can tell the wine is aged in a barrels from that profound oaky smells.
Jammy on taste with dominant flavors of raspberry, plums, cedar and a smokey background of cooking herbs and spices, there are also subtle hints of minerals such as graphite." Thank you for possibility to taste this wine!
