Full, opulent citrus fruit profile that manages to avoid being blowsy, but an unappealing spritz to the palate. A more mineral-driven Chardonnay with good acidity. Some time might help with the balance and fizz issues.

Here is another terrific example of the superb versions of chardonnay coming out of California at reasonable prices. The nose shows green apples, toast / brioche, citrus, and a very subtle nut oil. In the mouth this clearly shows itself as the newer style chardonnay in that the acidity is just right... i imparts a clean, crisp, and almost transparent quality to the wine. This is followed by darker and somewhat more thick textures of oak, but oak that is artfully integrated into the whole. I never thought I'd write a TN that is positive about oak in a California chardonnay, but here it is! Very, very well balance, and a delight with food. Delightful price, too... I found it for $30.

Beautiful fruit, full mouth feel but oak seemed out of balance. Nice finish. Two bottles consumed with consistent notes.

Blind Tasting Pinots with K (Blind tasting of Pinots in the corner penthouse overlooking downtown Dallas): Nice vibrant color, with buttery characteristics intermingled with pear and apple. The oak was not overwhelming - very solid wine.
