Tasted 7/17/04 at the DC Crü event at The Caucus Room Nice stems (some unknown germanic sounding name producer) Just basic notes as we were having too much fun
Peachy fuzz, sweet, maybe from Long Island? I thought Tokay Pinot Gris at first, but then it seemed clearly much more like Riesling. Nice floral notes, too. Rather eye-openingly good considering where it came from. I would not have expected this to show as well as it did. This would rock with some spicy Chicken Basil from Ooodles Noodles in Bethesda.
Hard to rate as I have not much of a Gewürz/Riesling reference (don't smack me Stemor and GATC!). But I think I will give it a solid 87 points. Hey, maybe more!

Spicy, intriguing nose; sweet, monolithic, dull palate; medium finish
