14.5% abv. Cork (NOT screwcap, like many Aussie Cabs at this price point) Ripe and pleasing Cabernet. Some supporting oak, but not overdone - much appreciated. This is more about the fruit, with a nice ripe Cabernet flavor profile. Some tannin with a little bit of a grippy mouthfeel. Fleshy texture as well. Very nice value at $20. Crowd pleasing style and should appeal to someone seeking a "value" Napa Cabernet. Tasted over two days - consistent throughout - did not really need any decant or air at all. Not sure about a previous note describing this as "lean and mean" - a little bit of a head-scratcher there.

Tasted at The Wine Society's Australian tasting, Reading, UK. This was one of the best wines at the tasting. Dark crimson colour. It showed a beautifully matured nose, forest floor. The palate was chewy, earthy, cherries, blackcurrants. Excellent now, but will surely keep another 3-5 years.

GT Wine Limestone Coast Reds (8 Danks street, Sydney): Red over blackcurrant, sweet spice, a little eucalyptus, earth. More of the same on the palate, tightly tannic but fruit persists. Young but balanced. Time required for me.
