Medium to deep red. Top class aromatics, smoke, earth and dark cherry, distinctively and immediately Burgundy. The fruit is on the dark spectrum even if the wine appears lighter than this in a big bowl. It is so compelling, it's got that indefinable autumn track quality, the fruit is pure and silky, with great definition and is what I would describe as 'croquant', a certain linear crispness to it. Yum. In a lovely spot at this juncture, it is amazing to think that this is only a Villages classification, it drinks much higher than this. The pricing (now) is what lets it down, you cannot say that this is good value. It is completely delicious in every way, but there is a premium associated with the producer that is hard to get around unless you're just loaded and don't really care, in which case buy as much of this as you can as you won't be disappointed. Disagree with the CT window ending in 2021, this is still excellent and will remain so for a while.

Smoke, dark cherries, rather light bodied palate that gainrd weight over the evening, transparent, fresh, with high minerality along beautiful dark fruit. Fine tannins, very elegant style, lots of finesse. Lovely. Only 12.5 abv. 17.5/20

Great bottle, 94 is for day 2. Only one left, makes me sad. This wine is in a great place right now. I might even decant, and strangely enough it drinks better colder, almost like it’s richer....but that was day 2. Great wine at a very good price...back in the day.

Dark red/rust colour. Great aroma - earthy, cherry fruit. Light tannins. Raspberry cherry, long finish.
