Better than I thought it would be. Tiniest barnyard, graphite, dusty plum, tannic berries, milk chocolatey peppery musk. The barnyard and seemingly volatile acid fruity components of this remind me of Chamonard Morgon...which is funny, because I was considering opening that to go with dinner as well. Opens into lots of black truffled olive tapenade.

Dinner at Barcelona Boston: Unoaked mencia. Very dark red, feral meaty animale, med-/med acidity med+ weight fairly simple. Nice aromatics are promising but lacking mid-palate presence.
