Dinner at San Shu Gong: Rather disappointed with this. Very ripe and round exotic fruits bordering on sur maturité that gave an impression of a wine that was rather flabby and out of balance. Surprisingly lack of acid for a 2014.

An excellent Bourgogne. Not complex, but lovely nose with white orchard and stone fruit. Some peach on the palate with good acid. Well put together and recommended. Note that apparently in 2015 they deleted a plot which apparently substantially contributes to the overall balance of this wine, so don’t expect the same. I have the 2015 as well and it is not nearly as good.

Sadly my last bottle of 6, but I should have held much longer. There was a lot of oak and also just a lot of materiale in these wines early on and frankly it wasn't that pleasant, but now is starting to come into its own. I'd hold another year and start drinking if I had these. Also, no sign of pre-mox in six bottles, which is a good thing.

A great example of an aged white burgundy. Drinking very well now.

Dominant smoky grapefruit notes, followed by well-judged oak, lemon zest, and lots of minerality. Best served in big burgundy glass.
Very well priced for this quality.
