Woody nose with notes of wet dock on a summer night and walnuts. Dry Sherry up front with a richer maple center. Definitely not a 'stickie', this is a Sherry for Sherry lovers. Obviously not at the premier tier of Sherry, but good stuff nonetheless, especially on a cold winter night.

Not as sweet as I feared, showing good balance. Moderate complexity, with raisins, caramel, nuts and prune notes. Unfortunately the finish was rather short and lacked the sort of vibrancy a top sherry would provide. Still, for the price this is more than adequate.

Whites from France and Spain: Raisins, coffee, dried plums on the nose and palate. Good accidity, not cloying at all.
