High pitch floral aromas, also metallic, light vanilla, even brioche. With time opens up as apples and citrus. The most unusual nose, unlike other wines. Medium-light body, medium accidity, a bit of tartiness on the palate.
It was all about wax, honey and figs. Very round and pleasantly smoky-oaky feel to this wine. Rich but well defined, there's also lemon and lime element that balances the fatness of the wine. Pleasant as a melting ice-cream, excellent and probably my WOTN.
Light petrol, cold lemon, lemon cake, fennel and cammomile on the nose. On the leaner, lighter side, but may be it only felt that way because it went after two oaked whites.

2000 Domaine Rolet Arbois Vin Jaune 89 Points
France, Jura, Arbois
Classic Vin Jaune nose of intense fino and toasted bread. Palate not as punchy as the taste, well integrated and mature already.

Raisins, coffee, dried plums on the nose and palate. Good accidity, not cloying at all.
