Brought by Jerry to tonight's event. My first ever of this maker. El Dougo pretty much says it all in his review below. I wanted to give this a 95 or more, but it was just a tad overly heavy/viscous, but then again, I believe that's the intended style? Great complexity to the nose and palate. I really liked this one, Jerry! Thanks for bringing it! Really went well with the chocolate mousse.......

Very dark brown, almost black. On the nose raisins, currants, dried dates. On the palate more of the same, in essence liquid raisins. A little citrus zest as well. Very viscous and mouth coating. Less cloying than some PXes. Although it appears well made it suffers from sweet PX’s general challenge; being a rather straight forward super sweet wine, not having/showing much complexity. Long aftertaste. A dessert in itself. Total score 87 points.

- Amber color with slow forming legs. It's balanced and has flavours of raisin, prune, fig, molasses and chocolate with a full body. Oily texture with a long finish - Its SWEET. Literally syrupy. LONG LONG finish - one sip lingers for minutes. Im not sure how it got into our cellar, maybe from a paired dinner. It would be good with a dessert of pear poached in red wine.

Appearance deep brown, viscous film coating the glass. Nose of leather, raisin, dried prune. Somewhat oxidated. Palate luscious, full body and syrupy. Honey. Super long finish 2+ min!

Not too syrupy, not too sweet, not spectacular, and did well with cheese cake.
