Cathiard Vosne-Romanee Aux Reignots 2014. Penere og dypere en Suchots, men kiler ikke 100% dette heller. Stramt og kantete på smak. Mye luft hjelper. Må lagres. Meget lang med heftige tanniner med noe bitterhet. Potensiale her. 91p-93p?

Bottles drunk with lunch or dinner while in Burgundy; 2/10/2020-2/14/2020 (Burgundy): I liked this quite a bit more than others at the table. It has forward, rich and polished black cherry fruit that is the house style and works so well in Vosne. The fruit provides the right frame for the spice-filled depth to linger and shine. A joyous and unforgiving expression of Vosne. Fun now and should improve as it gains nuance. 93+

Burgundy, Day 4 (Beaune, France): At Le Soufflot. This is a sappy, sweet red Burgundy, which for me didn't really work with the vintage. It feels like the red fruit and lightness of the vintage is in battle with the more opulent, sappy style. The quality nonetheless is very good, but for whatever reason it just doesn't work very well for my palate. All the better perhaps; chasing Cathiard would have left a large dent in the budget.

Splash decanted. Compact Vosne spice, jungle red fruit, meaty, classic but a breath of freshness from the vintage. Very well-made nightcap. 93+

Very nice wine, gave it 2 h in decanter. Still young and fresh so no hurry to drink yet.
Still after 6 hours it holds up.
