Opened in Hong Kong. P&P and enjoyed over a few hours.
This was much better than my previous bottle earlier in the week. More intensity of fruit; the palate had gorgeous hints of Vosne spice despite it being NSG. The cleanliness and precision of the Comte's winemaking was really coming out here too, showing none of the rusticity that people associate with NSG. Floral notes really started coming out after about an hour. This really was a very good bottle and shows what the hype is all about.
This bottle was definitely 94+, edging 95 for me. In a perfect spot right now - will hold for a while at this level but genuinely excellent. Am excited to try my other bottles for a special occasion.

Opened at Caprice in HK. Double decanted and then enjoyed over lunch. #83 of 1235.
This really started hitting its stride around 1 hour in, and then stayed at that level for another 1.5 hours. Exactly what you'd look for in a Liger Belair - light, floral notes alongside delicate red fruit. Very clean, and one of the most elegant expressions of NSG that you'll find.
I feel like I enjoyed the 2017 that I had about a year ago more - perhaps that had a bit more power - but this is a beautiful bottle of Burgundy nonetheless and always a treat to have. Will keep for a while, but unsure of longevity or upside however - I'd probably start drinking up if you're lucky enough to have a few in your cellar.

I love this wine as it was the first CLB that I ever enjoyed and totally turned me onto this producer which is my personal favorite. Nice to revisit, side my side 09 Cras in blind the 09 clearly more expressive and better setting out but the 14 where the nose was quite sullen initially came around sitting in the Zalto for an hour and emerged a real beauty as well. This was so open when it was young, then shut down (based on a bottle earlier this year) but will open up (soon?) based on this bottle. If you open now don't be shy to decant!

At Cuverie chez CLB - not as refined or sexy as Petits Monts 2015 had before (unsurprisingly), however Cras 14 has real qualities as it's an incredibly complex wine playing on black and blue fruits, very good fruit density (especially for the vintage), an assertive effort that I think will age very well indeed and might be in a shell right now to emerge very strongly. It bested blind to many a DRC Corton 13 as a side note so that puts some context on this bottle. I would hold to 2025+ based on this showing. Lovely juice from this rare old Nuits holding.

The “Other Cras” was fantastic on the night. LM’s hand was clear in the making of this NSG, as it brought more of a Vosne feel to it than NSG. No matter - it showed a fine character, good weight, an expanded palate, and good control of fruit. Really delicious
