I’ve come to believe that Dusi’s should be drunk 5-7 years upon release. This is in that window and it’s pretty good right now. Not plagued by the overripe cooked fruit flavors that often accompany older Dusi’s as those flavors become primary on age. Nice grapey zin fruit, cracked pepper and a bit of hit. Very smooth tannins with a citrus backbone that balances it off. Decent finish too.

Nose of blueberries & cream, pebbles, black licorice, vanilla.
Palate is a tart and angular, medium tannins, doesn't taste or smell "hot" but the high alcohol accentuates the angularity of the palate. Almost a touch bitterness on midpalate.
This isn't a bad wine, but it's among my more disappointing experiences with Turley in recent memory. Just doesn't have the opulence of flavor/aromatics and more imporantly, the palate lacks the plushness that I've come to expect from these wines.

Decent on night one. Not my favorite Turley - a bit too sweet. Fell apart on night two. Drink up.

Briary over dark fruit, similar to the 2014, with a little more freshness.
