Same notes as in March 2018. Tasted after the 2015 standard cuvee it is more masculin with more structure, more tannin and less velvety. I like the 2015 standard cuvee more now, because it is as concentrated but better balanced. But this may change in the next 5-6 years. 5/12/16/8

The wine was medium ruby in colour and offered red fruit, herbal notes, vanilla and some black pepper on the nose and palate, with medium-level acidity and tannin and good length. It did not have much complexity and while I liked it popped and poured for its good fruit and smoothness, with aeration the fruit faded and the wine became dryer and more rustic. A pass.

Ruby with intense purple tint. Berry skin, almost pungent dark berry fruit as dark cherries, blackberry and hints of tobacco and leather in the long finish and red fruits, vanilla, bayleaf and flowers with more time in the glas. On the palate it is intense fruity with smooth tannin and acidity to provide freshness. This cuvée seems to have more syrah in the blend than the normal cuvee. It is going to develope in a positive way with more time in the cellar, I blieve. It is more intense and less complex at first as the standard cuvee. But it is developing more nuances with time in the glas or from the opened bottle. -2025+ 5/12/17/8

Bettee, fuller and richer than the usual Guigal C-d-R Red, but not by much.
