  Colour Deep Ruby-red colour with clear edges 15/15
  Nose Medium iintensity, black fruits plums and cherries,savory, with secondary aromas of game and undergrowth , rose petal, raspberry, vibrant and fresh and well balanced 27/30
  Palate more of the same very well balanced flavours of red and black fruits
  showing secondary development, with game and dried herbs to the red fruits. Excellent smooth velvety finish 40/44
  Overall showed good depth of flavour and complexity 9/11

  Overall showed good depth of flavour and complexity as it should with multiclonal mix of 5, 114, 115, 667, 777 and 10/5,. Drinking well now as all Herzog wines are released when considered ready to drink but his one has a few years ahead of it 10/11

  Taste of New Zealand - 2017: Strawberry, raspberry, cherry cola - quite sweet and lifted nose. The sweetness shows on the palate as well, there is no lack of ripeness here. There is some fine tannin that helps prop things up and give it decent balance. Another 5 years might help this really come together.
