  • Vinøs hyttetur; 9/30/2022-10/1/2022: reduktiv, balansert, røyk og krydder, sitron, lang og med flott finish, kompleksitet så det holder, alt på plass. 94-95p

  • Half bottle at Le Bernardin. This was a nicely accomplished Puligny. The nose was classic Pucelles, with white fruit and cream laced with chalky mineral and a light light floral perfume. The palate lacked some of the sheer depth and breadth of say a top Leflaive example, but there was still plenty of strength and a nice presence to its creamy, white fruited notes on the attack, and then a nice persistence in the nuttier, spicier midpalate and finish. There was plenty of acidity that gave the wine a good sense of cut and thrust as well, all adding to a nice sense of finesse. Still youthful, clearly needing some time to integrate, but this was already showing as a nicely nuanced wine. Rough edges aside, I liked this quite a bit. Give it a few more years, and it should make a nicely fine wine indeed.
