Les notes d’élevage ont régressé depuis la dernière fois et le vin s’est affiné. Une texture soyeuse, de délicats arômes de cassis, une belle finale. Une de mes meilleures bouteilles de ce vin du domaine.

was kind of surprised by this bottle: my first Comte Lafon and I was picturing it being a little more on the strawberry side and this bottle was much more on the dark side of the spectrum. not in any way to detract from the quality of the wine, which was very good. But if anyone reads this who has experience with Lafon, does this track with your experience, or was this a outlier bottle?
still delicious, but might have opened it with other food had I known!
