I drank quite a few of these in 2006 & 2007. I managed to wait on this last one and it was worth it. Delicious, well-balanced and still fresH and youthful. Quite beautiful and highly pleasurable.

Remains quite youthful at 9 years of age. Peachy, stony and moderately sweet. Still has some spritz as well, though that blows off in 30 minutes or so.

Drinking very well right now, extremely well balanced and surprisingly complex profile of honey, pear, nectarine, quinine and slate. Sweetness has receded a bit and the mid-palate and finish are drier and more mineral-driven than was the case with younger bottles. I have been very impressed with how these basic Leitz bottlings improve with age. Excellent wine and ridiculous qpr at around $14.

Really, really reductive, with the reduced elements dominating the fruit and other flavours even after it's been open for a day.

Very, very good. A little petrol, a little apple. Very, very long finish.
