Another bottle from a case bought upon release and stored in temperature controlled wine storage. Started opening them in 2020 and 5 of the 12 have a large amount of seepage. Guess I waited too long. At this time these are drinking very sweet.

Bought a case at release and forgot about it in my cellar. Tried a bottle and found it just too sweet for a Kabinett. Fruit is still present along with some acidity, but like a lot of German whites aging = sweet.

A better bottle than the last one; this has a nice amount of fresh fruit to go with the tingly acids. Such a pleasure to drink these when they are in the zone.
a little weak and tired on the nose with golden apple and honey. Better on the palate, more acid with red and golden apple, some lime. Sweet. Finish is lime and honey and an herbal/mint note. Ends quite lively and juicy. Nose - 4/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5-5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 15-15.5/20.

(Leitz Rudesheimer Klosterlay Kabinett) Anybody like acid?? If you do buy this by the case. Nose of petrol and a little C02. Some lime zest too. Just as ripe as the "Dragonstone" but man that acid just rips across the palate. Very citrussy. Lime/orange, even grapefruit. Concentrated and ripe. It is amazing how ripe this wine is despite the huge acids. Another killer Leitz QPR!!
