I am not as impressed with the IGT version. I preferred the 100 % Sangiovese Chianti from 2013. I found the nose muted and the body heavier without as much character. Perhaps a year or two of age will allow this wine to unfold?

Another day 2 glass; light translucent ruby in the glass, with a great nose - I don't recall it being this interesting last night on the pop & pour, but today there is a note that can best be described as feral/wild. Red-fruited as well, but that feral note dominates right now.
Seamless and light-bodied on the palate - maybe less acidity than I ordinarily look for in my Chianti, but otherwise drinking pretty well tonight.

Really nice - for the record, this is the Toscana Rosso IGT, not the wine label pictured here (which looks like the Il Garrulo).
Very focused with good persistence, lighter-bodied - I like this quite a bit.

Candied, medicinal nose - different, but not bad.
This isn't bad, but I'm drinking it along side of the 2004 Felsina CCR, so it pales a little in comparison.

Cool red fruits on the nose.
Light-bodied, ripe red fruit, with a touch of acerbity - not unduly complex, but nice for near-term drinking.
