Translucent ruby red color. PNP, split bottle over 2.5 hours. The nose offers lots of dired herbs, moss, strawberry, and dark berries, with some briary wood notes. The palate shows cherry cola, red berries, briar, and little scorched earth, mineral, and pepper. This didn't this was better after an hour and at its best on finishing a couple hours later. 90+ to 91pts.

Downtown Patio Evening (Shari's, Mpls, MN): Medium red color. Decanted for 30 minutes or so; drank 1+ glass over an hour. Nice nose, lots of floral and spices up front along with an aromatic dose of mixed berries. The palate adds a briary note to the berry and mulled spices, excellent texutre and good complexity. This has hit a nice spot.

A classic Willamette pinot. Fresh, lovely fruit with just enough tannin and acid to provide excellent balance. My only problem is the cost of this wine-I can buy equal quality burgs for half the price.
