  • Good nose. Moderate body. Fruit in the body and finish. Tannins dominate all aspects. Che3ck back in 5-10 years.

  • Cranberry candy type of fruit, rhubarb, faint grphite. Green fresh herbs. Light bodied and pleasant on the palate. Such delicacy here the aromas must have been painted with a feather.

  • I've tasted through the line-up of Terroir al Limit three years ago and was not overly impressed (no CT notes). The more I was surprised when this wine was revealed in our blind tasting. One or the other year in the cellar do sometimes good things. The highlight is clearly the unbelievable soft structure. This wine is so feminine and soft but still offer a nice intensity and mid palate weight. This is a Grenache for Burgundy lovers. This young, however, it might be a bit too sweet and polished but I definitely will try to buy one or the other bottle to lay down in the cellar for 10 or 15 years. 94 today but with upside to reach 95-97 points one day.

TN: Cranberries, cherries and other red fruit. Ripe, not overripe but slightly candied. Cola, a tad sous bois, a herbal component with tomato leaves, a tad of dry earth. Medium++ complexity, medium+ precision. Good length & very good balance. As mentioned above, this wine is defined by its ultra-fine tannins, a silk-like texture, it's airy quality. It is completely weightless.

Decanting: Not decanted and good from the get-go. I guess one or the other hour of air wouldn't hurt.

  • The nose showed rich brown spices offset by fresh strawberry, blueberry skins and orange zest, evolving into dusty dried florals, moist earth and stoney minerality. On the palate, I found silky textures, lifted by brisk acids, minerals and spice, with pure red berry fruits, and slow-mounting tannins. The finish was long, fresh and floral, as a twang of wild berries set the stage for resonating acids, subtle spice and hints of residual tannin. This was graceful like a ballerina, yet so densely packed with character--beautiful.
