  • 3 years ago I found this wine to be overshadowed by oak. Now oak overtones are gone and tannins are fully resolved. It's a solid Rosso that could hold it's own against many a mid-range BdM. Drink up if you still have this in your cellar.

  • Hey, a Rosso at 10 years of age that is still hanging in there, although probably not for too much longer, as it doesn’t feel quite as vibrant as it used to. That said, very pleasurable, with earthy red fruit on the nose and it really spreads out on the palate.

  • Stellar Rosso drinking more like top shelf BdM. Slow-oxed for 4hrs in glasses and btl prior to sipping before diinner. Super pure and fresh red fruit. Everything here gives a sense of terroir expression and depth. Beautiful balance w/ graceful mouthfeel. Only problem, this is my last of 3 and really singing with proper air, glass & temp. Paid $37 drinks like $100+. Label says 14.5% alc / feels and tase more like sub 13%. 93+ I dink my reds between high 50s and no higher than 65. Drink this in the high 60s plus & the alc may be a factor? Too many reds are drank too warm and too many whites, too cold.

  • The 2013 is still adolescent in nature, all elbows and knees. yet with so much potential to work with. Cherry pits, dried roses, cedar shavings, worn leather and hints of sweet spice--can you imagine a more classic bouquet? It's silky upon entry yet quickly gains tension through nervous acidity, with tart red berries and a sweet and sour twang of citrus. Nearly a minute goes by and I can still taste and feel its primary concentration of fruit, as licorice and a hint of fresh sage slowly melt away into oblivion.

  • This is fantastic. Opened without decanting and didn't drink for three hours. I need to find more of these.
