A bright, fresh, well-made wine which has the characteristic highish acidity typical of Aligoté but also has good substance on the palate - it is fresh without being thin. Would pair well with a plateau de fruits de mer or moules marinière. Drinking perfectly now, but although one normally thinks of Aligoté as a wine to drink young, I think this one can be kept a while.

This spends 10 months on lees in big barrels. It is energetic and bright, crammed with citrus fruits. It is sealed under Stelvin Lux to lock in all of the goodness.

Open for six hours. So good notes one taster. Crisp and clean on the front, soft in the mid, forward and delicious, I have to admit as an aligote hater this works it out.

A good vintage for Aligote, in Pommard but in the south of Pommard (grown). Old Aligote from Meursault, 90 years old. Blend at the press, and then aged in 500 L big barrels on the Aligote, aged on the lees for 10 months. An aligote nose with barrel, then some fresh palate, mid weight, ’14 is generally a very good vintage for white. Good succulence and structure here, got some grip and power, very nice huh? Making me hungry another taster notes. ’14 is the first vintage of Aligote, at the end he is very happy with this.
