Still a nice ruby red color. Nose is muted, not showing much, some balsamic and leather.
Palate is lively, featuring black cherry and red cherry fruit, lots of saddle leather, and faint earth notes. Some tannin is still present, but are not obtrusive, and combined with decent acidity, gives the wine structure and lift.
In the mature phase, this bottle was exactly where you want it or maybe a bit longer. Blossomed with air, so open early. Drink now -2024

Youthful, with tangy bing cherry, strawberry, watermelon, and lightly sugared rosewater. On the palate, high tangy acid, med+ alcohol, high tannins that remind one of biting into a crabapple. Medium-bodied, classically styled Barbaresco. 3-5 years will provide maturity.

Popped and poured. Medium ruby color. Nose of red cherry, hints of licorice and some sweet baking spices. Similar flavors on the palate with a juicy, red fruit driven mouthfeel and dry finish. Medium+ to high acid, medium+ tannins. Moderate finish. True to the varietal and very serviceable nebbiolo for $20.

Consistent with previous bottles. Solid $20 nebbiolo for pasta and pizza.

Consistent with previous bottle although serving at room temperature brought out a bit more of the alcohol.
