A really pleasant surprise as the wine had aged very well. Still purple with some rust, nose was very expressive full of spice, cola, cherry and strawberry, maybe some orange and rose petal, silky mouthfeel and medium finish. Great with roast pork and duck and amazing soft shell crabs at N.Y. Noodletown.

A Night of Rochioli (Mostly West Block) (Classic Dallas): Mild brick red. Very shy nose with barely perceptible dried cherries. Palate with dried cherries, herbs, mild amount of stems, and some oak spice. Nice acids. Better on palate than nose.

Light ruby red in color and 14.2% ABV. Spicy aromas of cinnamon and brown sugar. Bing cherries, leather, truffles, herbs, anise and cola on the palate. At 13 years of age this wine is luscious and seductive. Bright acidity. The finish is exceptionally long and memorable. Amazing Russian River Valley Pinot Noir that would fare well against any Grand Cru from Burgundy.

Past its prime, when you drink it, flavors are muted.

This was a wonderful bottle. It aged gracefully, with notes of cherry, nutmeg and Asian spices. Enjoyed in SXM at Select Wine Cellars
