  The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry and red currant. It tastes like cherry and vanilla. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

  Decanted for an hour so. Sipped it before meal and was not impressed. Light without much body. Bring on the filet mignon and this wine transformed into utter delight. It became richer, fuller and bolder. Clearly a great food wine. OK as a stand alone, but it shines with the right food pairing.

  Poured two glasses about an hour before dinner through the vinturi and let them breathe. Smooth and dry. Soft tannins. Medium plus body. Red fruit. Medium slow legs. Very nice steak wine. Probably still a little young. Look forward to drinking the other bottles in my cellar.

  Medium crimson in color, this wine revealed violet, tar and black cherry on the nose. The mouth feel brought firm tannins and additional notes of tobacco, anise and nutmeg. The finish was medium in length with the tannins becoming velvety in texture and added tastes of vanilla bean. 14.5% abv.
  
  Purchased for $31USfrom, this was a very good qpr. Drinking well now, it easily has another 5+ years of life.

  With cheese and salami, opened about an hour before. Consistent. Nice but thin for my taste. Not special.
