Nice ruby garnet with medium plus optical density, a slightly amber rim, and medium reflectivity that is about 50/50 diffuse and specular. Aromas of medium intensity and complexity, with classic a Barolo profile: cherry, tobacco, delicate flower pedal, and some earthy herbal forest floor. Decent depth on the nose.
The palate is light to medium in body, dry, and with perfectly ripe and rounded tannins that integrate perfectly, but still show a good bit of presence. This provides an easy and juicy texture that is still quite structured. Medium density and concentration, appearing well-balanced. Flavours of cherry, raspberry, and crush tobacco leaves on the attack, quickly supported by some light tar and aromatic florals. Some herbal vegetal notes come in by midpalate, with is full and rich, but also begins to turn toward earthy stone and leather notes as the fruit falls off. The final transition shows a bunch of herbs and dried spice notes, landing on a decent length finish of cherry pit and warm leather. Overall, this shows pretty nice intensity and a good bit of complexity.
This is awesome, well-made wine that has aged into a perfect stage for enjoying. Not astringent at all, and very approachable, this is everything that can be wanted in a decent Barolo. Depth is there, if not the most complex example, it is well-priced and ages well. Great!

Displays a compelling mix of rose petal scents along with cherry, dried red berries and hints of rust. Caressing texture with well-tamed tannins, birght acidity and a long, balanced aftertaste.

Light medium red. Decanted for an hour, at first the nose was a bit dull probably because the smells coming from cooking. Later the nose became more traditional. Cherry, earth, tar and red flowers. Dry tannic finish.

Mon ami l’a aimé. Il va s’en acheter. Moi non. Je préfère un autre Barolo

Medium light red. Fairly intense nose. Spicy, earthy cherry and tar nose. Dry cherry pans spice nose and a medium weight tannic finish.
