  • Monday Night Blinds (Home (Noe st)): (non-blind - my wine)

Bright, highly-concentrated ruby-purple, vibrant, with tears.

    Nose:
    - elevated intensity
    - tart blackberry, slight red fruit cherry - low ripeness - slight peach (cool climate).
    - herbaceous - herbs du provence, thyme, rosemary
    - white pepper and sweet jamon iberico
    - slightly reductive black cherry, with slightly exuberant whole cluster/carbonic character (slightly confected black cherry)
    - elevated complexity, and youthful
    - red flowers - fresh.

    Palate:
    - dry
    - medium body
    - medium plus alcohol - 14% (slightl elevated)
    - medium tannins
    - high acid - long and crystalline!
    - echoing the herbaceousness and tart blackberry of the nose.
    - lean, almost piney.
    - no signs of new oak - probably used barrels (necessary to fix the color).
    - moderate plus finish.
    - moderate complexity.
This is really good stuff - reminds me of the Arnot-Roberts, but with lighter flavor concentration. Like a clean St. Joseph.

    I like it! 91 points.
