This was really nice, paired with chicken cordon bleu and crab claws. Petrol nose, sweet entry, and then a clean finish. Enjoyable now, but likely to improve over the coming years.

I first started Donnhoff was drinking the 2008 NH Spatlese and I was immediately attracted by the balance of its fruits, mineral, acidity and sweetness. Very balance. Then I had the 2007 NH Auslese Goldkap and was equally intriguing.
I thought this 2015 (in 375ml) will be too young and tight but I was wrong. It is young but super expressive. Honey lemon, apricot, little spices and seabreeze. The salivating acidity and salinity is keeping the wine in shape despite it has very good depth of sweet fruits. A little spicy at the back, delicious.

Crisp, mineral Riesling with a soft sweat tone: minerals, stone, tropical fruit, papaya, banana, peach, solid finish. Nice, but will not revisit, I prefer Rieslings with higher acidity
