This bright and sugary Pinot has stayed in place in the 11 months since I tasted it last (89 points - 7/17). Cherry red in color, medium in body, still muted nose of raspberry and candied walnuts. Tastes of black cherry, cherry cola, and licorice, with a sweet finish. 14.4% alcohol.
I can appreciate a ripe and boisterous Pinot but this one just seems stuck in some form of Candyland. I really enjoyed the 2014 Rosella when I had it earlier this summer, but this just seems to be in the same sugary and unformed wine as it was last year. Perhaps it will get better with time, but I just don't think this is my kind of wine.

Great RRV fruit. Lots of cherry. A good bit of cola. Bright, but dark fruit. Decanted only 15 minutes or so. Paired with salmon, baked broccoli, and mashed potatoes. Deeply complex with a great finish. The last few sips were stellar - more like 92-93, but overall I think 91 is fair.

Compares well with much more expensive wine from this vineyard.

Usually a favorite, but this bottle seemed to lack oomph.
